Limousine Drivers Due in Court


Eleven limo drivers face charges after being stopped by police. They have been summonsed to appear before magistrates following tests by the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency. Police setup the sting operation outside of the Biddulph High School before their annual prom. Eighteen limousine where stopped in total. Of the eighteen six where carrying more passengers than legally permitted. Seven of the limousine where classed as defective, with problem including faulty breaks, steering and tires. One silver stretch was towed away because the driver didn’t have proper licensing. Inspector Amanda Davies said “Parents need to book a reputable company licensed through the local authority.”
